This is an odd-ball collaboration with a long-time
friend of mine Jonas Mace. We wrote, penciled, and
inked the entire two-page story during four stormy
hours here on the Isle of Lost Souls where I currently
live. There was bad flooding involved with that event
and Jonas lost his Subaru wagon, because the brain-box
is located under the driver seat and alls it takes is a
little salt water to frizzle-fry that sucker. Also, a house
burnt down that night ! Someone left a pot on the stove,
because there was a power outage, and so they decided
to go to the local bar for grub since they had a massive
generator. Well, when the power kicked back on, so
did the food on the burners~! Simmer and fry for a
few hours~ fwoosh~! FIRE~!
So these pages were penciled mostly by candle-light~!
Jonas pencil/inked page one, which I then wrote.
I pencil/inked page two, which Jonas then wrote.
Don't ask where this idea came from~! Its origin
got lost somewhere in the storm, washed away
on the corners of Herb & Brewski~!
Ha!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bizarre trip that was!
Whoever said herb and brewskis can't inspire the genius of imagination?
Not me!!
That was funny, probably even moreso after your backstory explaining the how and why of it's creation.
Reminds me of those old jam sessions from the undergrounds with Crumb, Shelton, Moscoso, Griffin, and the like...
...are you up to the challenge of a new jam session?
Ha ha! you have some hilarious imagery hidden away in the nooks and crannies as a reward to those who choose to dwell a little longer.
