DREAM MANDALAS~ DAY FIVE~!

In the 1st dream image below, I relegated the
circle form to just the Holy Grail Chalice in
the center of the page... The rest are pure
mandalas, dream concepts oozing out
of circles into the surrounding
squares & rectangles...

DREAM MANDALAS~ DAY FOUR~!

The colored dream mandala below is
my favorite attempt at shoving a
complete nocturne into a
single image. This may
be in part to the
emotional
content
of that

More dreams squeezed into circular squares....

DREAM MANDALAS~ DAY TWO~!

I was merely experimenting during this
Dream Mandala phase... Big fan of Carl Jung
and his work. Basically, I am shoving vague
dream memories and images into the shape
of a circle, seeking some random meaning
that might jump out at me... No crystal
clear insight was ever really garnered,
but I am fond of these attempts to
shove amorphous blobules into
round holes. Imagine pushing
a 40 pound wad of pizza
dough into a square
peg... All the excess
has to go somewhere,
and it won't fit into a
little drawing !

"THE LONERS" WEEK~ DAY TWO~!

Here are some more character sketches.
As with any endeavor, the deeper into
the project one gets, the more one is
able to loosen up and produce some
fun, free-flowing imagery...

"THE LONERS" WEEK~ DAY ONE~!

"The Loners" was my 1st screenplay~ a WESTERN~ about
Soldiers Of Fortune & Scalp-Hunters who kill a regiment of
Federal Soldiers and use their uniforms to become imposters.
This allows them to take over a small mining town, Oro Blanco,
and begin to carry out a wicked plan based in greed & lust.

They do not count on, however, separate Apache Tribes
merging together in order to rescue some of their stolen
women & children...

A stand-off ensues, in which innocent Townspeople are
forced in the middle, with a big climactic massacre at
The Sundown Saloon to tidy things up...

Oh~ and~ the script underwent several name changes.
It began as "The Loners", changed to "World Without End",
which then became "The Sundown Saloon" before finally
settling into its final title: "The Sheriff's Wake".

The title has a double meaning, and also incorporates
the built-in murder-mystery part of the plot, which
involves the Phony Federals blaming the Sheriff's
mysterious death on the Apache, when in reality
he was murdered by 'Major' Grumbaw, the
sinister leader of the Scalp-Hunters,
to shut him up and help take over
the Town from its weak-willed
residents.

The Sundown Saloon is really a major
character in this story, which I would describe
in the brief synopsis as: 'An epic Western disaster film'

The following drawings are character designs, with a list
of Players that needed to be illustrated at some point
during this early failed attempt at a graphic novel~!
