It was an assignment in art school; early on in my brief acrylic painting period. It definitely looks better blown up on my computer screen than in real life. This was a small piece, so, I just laid it right on my scanner the better to see all these little details ;~j
Hi Jamie, This is a truly impressive piece! The tomatoe/toemato is not as appetizing as it could have been, but the rest is nice indeed! I wonder if both of us ever worked on a still-life at the exact same time, back in those days...you in Philly and me in Silver Springs...
I think we did work on still-lifes simultaneous; we wrote about stuff we did freshman years a few times. I still have all your letters & will check next time up North.
Hi Jamie, I mean at the EXACT same time...when we actually dipped our brushes into the exact same color at the exact same time...that sort of unbelievable exactness...
