KLOWN REBELLION #1 COMIC BOOK COVER !

The 1st image was just me mess'n around with an Action Comics #1 homage, straight from memory. But it doesn't have proper focus on N'Bonga smash'n the Clown Car so I started to redraw it, before finally check'n out the actual Shuster image. Daisy was drawn separately on her own piece of TWICE-UP art-board (18X12) which is due mostly to my failing vision & inability to compress tons of action into a small space. Why else would paste & cut & resize in Photoshop exist if not for poor draftsmen like I ? The Pi-Press logo will be my never-changing stamp on Comic Books as I move into the future of Self-Publishing with platforms like Kindle Comic-Creator etc. The cover still needs tweaking & better word-balloons but it is very close to the one I'll use !

1ST TIME VIRGIN INK-JOB OVER JACK KIRBY PENCILS FOR NOVA #7 !

This was way harder than I thought it would be ! And, the thing I feared most- inking Kirby's explosions- turned out to be one of the easier tasks. What makes inking Kirby so difficult- at least-  for a beginner- is that it is sometimes hard to discern the original INTENT of the pencil marks. Also, the image is so jam-packed with information, one must be cautious to separate foreground/background layers. The finished Nova figure was inked on a graphics tablet using Corel Painter 4; the rest using various width Sharpies on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of blue-lined paper. Joe Sinnot inked the actual cover that saw print & many changes were made, thus:

All in all, a fun divergence from my normal routine & I look forward to inking other Kirby pencil sketches in the Future.
