NITE OWL WEEK~ DAY ONE~!

Nite-Owl was a strip I conceived in an attempt
to open my own Late-Night Cheese-Steak &
Fries Delivery Service in a College Town
where I used to live. The idea was to staple
a MENU to each customer's bag, the other
side of which would contain a serialized
weekly segment of the Nite Owl's
original comic strip. Every 100th
customer on any given night
would have their food delivered
by the Nite Owl himself~!
Making delivery loads of
fun and creating a mysterious
persona in the process. 'Oh~
My~ God~! Guess who delivered
my cheese steak last night~!?'
Hopefully, customers would
order at least once a week
to keep up with the Nite Owl's
comic-strip adventures...

Unfortunately, banks will only loan
money to people with some kind of
collateral, something the bank can
take from you if your business
venture fails. I feel sorry for People
who lack imagination, who rely on
what others think in order to form
their 'own' judgments & opinions.
They can't grasp certain concepts,
because they lack clarity of vision.
I think the world might be a better
place if we allowed the lunatics to
run the asylum~!

SPIDEY WEEK~ LAYOUT CONCLUSION~!

If I can't make sense of the following mess, I really
don't expect anyone else to~! It's really weird, though,
trying to recall one's own train of thought on an old
abandoned project from nearly 20 years ago~!
To be complete (archiving everything), I tossed
in the typed script to the last several pages...

SPIDEY WEEK~ PAGES 14 & 15~ MORE LAYOUTS~!

The final two tight penciled pages, followed by
a plethora of sketches and layouts for more
of this story. I think I intended this to be
for a Spider-Man ANNUAL at the time,
because the page-count would be 30-32
instead of the 'then' average of 17-20.

SPIDEY WEEK~ PAGES 11, 12, & 13

More layout pages followed by tight pencil work.
That's Captain Stacy as Mysterio, with Gwen
Stacy playing the Black Cat. If you haven't
figured it out by now, this whole Nightmare
sequence casts all of Peter's loved ones as
his most dangerous, hated Enemies~!

SPIDEY WEEK~ PAGES 8, 9, & 10

Here are the original story-boards, followed by
the original TIGHT PENCIL WORK. These pages
were never inked, as the guidelines for submitting
to Marvel at the time required both finished and
penciled artwork in the same package...
