Found this while archiving old photos
this Holiday Season; done back in the
80's. It got me think'n about "Lost"
art.... Things we artists do that
will never be documented or
seen again. I am rough-
guesstimating that
perhaps 15% of
all my personal
creations will
never be posted
here on this blog~
due to getting washed
away by the sands of time.
That's an interesting thought. A friend showed showed me some drawings they saved that I made for him, and I have no recollection of making them.
ReplyDeleteI like this drawing. Was this what happened to your friend? He got hit by a golf ball and broke a bone?
Like comics printed on pulp paper or annual flowers, the most beautiful art is transitory.
ReplyDeleteKW: Can't remember how he broke the leg~ just that it happened on the Golf course. I love seeing things I've forgotten about ! It also makes me wonder how deeply embedded MEMORY cells are in the fibers of our total being. I can attest that some serious BRAIN cells were eliminated during the 80's & 90's... Some memories may be hiding in my pinky toe ! That's why I wince & blink furiously whenever I stub it !
ReplyDeleteMykal: Aw, Man ! yer gonna make me cry ! When I end up on that show "Hoarders" some day you will know I'm trying to make up for a boatload of personal losses... (hope that boatload is a Yacht, by the way)
This just in: Marty the Golfer rode over his own leg with a Golf Cart; which kinda nullifies the reason for needing a Golf Cart !
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Nice going, Marty!
