BOO. THE COUGAR WAS A ROTTWEILER !

About ten years ago, my Dad was walking

the Family Dog up the hill in their neighborhood

when the Border Collie started acting skittish,

then freaked out and commenced barking at

something BEHIND them down the street.

My Pop whirled with his trusty flashlight

& BING: lit up a Cougar. Mid-sized. NO,

not a 30-something drunk woman

stumbling home from a bar, but~

a real honest to goodness

the Suburbs. Big Cats

like these are territorial~

but~ their territory can be as

large a range as 300 square miles !

Anyhoo~ believe it not~ the Neighbor

came by real excited last week... He

found some very LARGE, interesting

tracks !

So, minus a Deerslayer, Inspector

Nimrod (me) was hot on the case,

trying to track the mighty Cougar.

1st, however, I needed some clear

pictures, and to follow them up

with a little research...

Dang. It was a Rotty, notty a Cougar !
