CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THIS MARKER SKETCH IS OF ?

SOMETHING I ACTUALLY SAW...

7 comments:

  1. Its a cross section of a watermelon which has been genetically enhanced to have a ribcage. What did I win for knowing the answer?

  2. Sorry KW.
    Nice try.
That is actually the famous dancing olive of Barcelona, caught in mid pirouette. When were you in Barcelona, Jamie?

  3. Both guesses are award-worthy, and I haven't the heart to say incorrect... so, let's sleep on it and see if any more nibbles develop from your sweet/salty responses.

  4. I'm guessing it has something to do with a moth, and a window (with blinds)...

  5. Well...since you describe it as 'something you ACTUALLY saw', just by analyzing your description I'd have to surmise that you are visually describing something that most people do NOT actually see.

Extrapolating from there, and knowing what I know about various experiences you've had, and certain things that may or may not have deeply permeated your psyche, and how that repeated exposure often leads to hyper-awareness regarding such phenomena, therefore you are more likely to witness such a thing more so than someone who is not looking for them...

...and judging from the dual shadows produced by the black disc/orb...

...I'd have to use all my FBI profiling skills as well as my art appreciation, and conclude that...

...this is a UFO hovering above the earth, gliding silently across the roads, fences and fields as either dawn or twilight reaches it's apex, which induces a reddish glow, and you are witnessing this event from above, as from an airplane.

Do I get the no-prize, Stan?

  6. ANSWER: IT IS A FORREST GREEN BALLOON, FLOATING UP NEAR THE TOP PLASTER TRIM, JUST ABOVE THE MAROON CURTAIN, OF A LARGE SCREEN MOVIE THEATER ON SANSOM STREET IN PHILADELPHIA.

Great guesses all around. Apocolyte wins no prize for noticing (correctly interpreting) the dual shadow from two different light sources. Hey, what was that second light source anyway, Apoco-Wurl ? A Nebulous explosion ?

  7. Why one light was the sun, of course, and the other was the light that shines off of you, my friend!
The fact that I was wrong merely adds credence to the my record of continually being wrong! Good band, that credence!
"I see a green balloon arising..."
