"Gits offa mah property, yuh revenooer! Ain't got no still back inna woods, so's...git! Lessin' yah wants a belly fulla buckshot" (KA-BLAMMO!!)Intriguing photos illustrating time and nature's steady overpowering encroachment over all that stands still and lies forgotten. The last image evokes thoughts of some Tolkienesque middle earth dweller.
Yeah I love stuff like this I'm sure Tolken was inspired by overtaken shit in his era; these are only 3 of 50+ pics some show the interiors & backsides (ooo that sounds raunchy); as an Electrician it would be fun to build a new home that looks like this, yet is structurally sound, to ward off would-be Burglars... I mean, who would ever try to rob a leaning barn with wide-open doors & windows all covered in Ivy ?
I love these shots! I've always had a penchant for anything man made sinking back into the green, living Earth. Here in Florida we have to beat back the tropical, verdant power daily! It wants us bad.
I love Mother Earth reclaiming stuff too Mykal ! I just need to remind myself to carry a camera at all times and pull over to the side of the road more often as there are dozens of similar structures of all shapes & sizes along my route from North Carolina thru Virginia & Maryland up to Delaware. Some look even more cool in the Fall with orange-to-red autumnal leaves etc. !
