  1. Loved comparing the B&W version with the full-color version!

  2. Fantastic! I like these big b/w inked pages you do.

  3. Love it. Your women remind me a bit of Crumb's drawn girls - sexy for reasons hard to explain.

  4. evm: I like doing that, too. every once in a while I will see a movie I haven't seen since childhood, and, because I originally watched everything on a tiny B & W tv set, those are my only memories. Last night I watched Bing Crosby in "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" and was blown away by the Technicolor ! I would have sworn, with a gun to my head, that was always a black & white movie !

kw: someday I would like to go old-school, and draw on TWICE-UP poster board, 24 x 18, like all the art done during the Gold & Silver Age of comic books !

Mykal: CONFESSION: my poorly rendered women are based on the photographic faces seen in the full-color version (link posted above b&w art). But hey~ thanx for mentioning my stuff in the same breath as Crumb !! Now i gotta live up to it !
