  1. There's a real relationship between these two. I think it's genuine good stuff!

  2. Yeah~ and~ I imagine their relationship would have continued to evolve as the artwork/layouts gained more confidence.

  3. Again, I say your strength is in these clever camera angles. You'd make a decent director of photography if they ever had a position like that in your town.

  4. Jamie, here's something I've been meaning to ask you...did you have your own captions for the cartoon from the Contest? I wonder why you never lettered it. I mean, when you drew that cartoon, you must have had some dialogue ready for the lettering.

  5. Erik: I could not find ANY original word-balloon script for the Contest Strip ! There were some ideas in the early stages that were just so strong, while I was fleshing out the "LOOK" of these characters, that no writing was necessary. The sequential images, I knew, would just write themselves !

  6. KW: Thanx ! It harkens back to the days when I made Claymation, learning to "see" things from Merk's POV, shooting and entire film WITHOUT a script (GASP) !

  7. Scripts are supposed to cut down on headache, but they almost work in reverse by creating overwhelming intimidation at the realization of the job ahead.

  8. Yes ! I often dream of 120 blank pages strung together in a three-ring binder... The Perfect Script !
