HATMAN & HOPI~ DAILY STRIP #8

  1. I think they're both a little passive-aggressive. I like the idea of two "button-pushers" stranded in the desert with no buttons to push but each others.

  2. Thanx, Jeffy ! I also liked this idea enough to milk it for nearly a month's worth of dailies; then switched over with a reboot to non-linear Hatman & Hopi strips to test out those waters. ALL will be revealed this month here @ Hungry Comix !

  3. Your attention to detail always puts a smile on my face. I was just admiring how neat it is that Hopi's words are in lowercase and HatMan's words are in uppercase. And the connective lines that link the words to the characters are distinct as well (Hopi's lines seem like a direct homage to Charles Schulz's shaky hand). A lot of very pleasing aesthetic touches that add to the beauty of these episodes. I love these two characters!

  4. Erik: Writing different text for different characters was something Walt Kelly MASTERED in his Pogo strip. If I ever get back into comic strips, it will be far better than my previous efforts because my inking/design layouts have improved considerably since then.

KW: I think a group hug is happening somewhere right now, and I am imagining all of us in the middle of it !

  5. Friend, you have a gift. Humor and continuity are not common place. Nice stuff!
