"w/ socks" is what makes it for me.
Hi Jamie!! Wow! This reminds me so much of the art of Saul Steinberg, an illustrator who was a true genius. Here are a couple of links:http://www.saulsteinbergfoundation.org/life_work.htmlhttp://www.google.com/images?rlz=1T4ACGW_enUS393US393&q=saul+steinberg&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&sa=X&ei=xTB3TcykKIy6sQO9v7zPBA&ved=0CGEQsAQ&biw=1345&bih=561
Hi Again!Boy, I was looking up Saul Steinberg at Google Images, and I landed on this blog: http://illustrationart.blogspot.com/2008/09/one-lovely-drawing-part-22.htmlhttp://illustrationart.blogspot.com/Lots of cool stuff to see there!
Erik: great links ! I drew this marker doodle when we lived @ 311 Sth 13th St. (The Morris). It is another memory experiment from my trip to the Sansom St. Movie Theater. I saw a bunch of peanut m & m's on the floor, where the maroon carpet meets the front of the concession stand...
This is one piece of artwork that I'm pretty sure I never saw. Love it! I had no idea it was from the Philly days! I guess it was done at around the same time as the balloon piece (the one where you recently asked us say what the subject matter was)?
Yup. Same time.
