HAHA! That's insane! I change my mind about this making a good children's storybook. If kids read this they'll start swallowing live waterbugs with the hopes of having exciting dreams.
Boy, I remember the existence of this story from back in the day, but I can't say I ever read it ('til now). Do you think I did? It had me wondering right up until the very end: why is it called "The Waterbug"? Did you reeealy want that waterbug to be green? Ugh! Either way, it's a cucaracha!! Ay, caramba!!!
KW: Science says we each swallow X number of bugs per year, so, dats where dem nightmares come from !
Erik: I know you saw the art, it 's when we lived in Philly together. You were dating what's her name @ the time so I don't think you read this prose piece. "It should have been green" was just my way of reflecting back to the green ball of energy, tying the reality to the dream.
