FORTUNA CARD~ YEAR 2000~!

Ever since the year 2000, I have been
creating an annual Fortuna Card,
variations on themes with the
Roman Goddess of fortune.

These cards, slightly smaller than
Baseball Cards, are then laminated
and given to Friends & Family in
the hopes it will protect them,
bless them with good health,
and maybe even toss a little
luck their way.

THE ROMAN GODDESS FORTUNA

  2. Well, like Bill Murray found out in Groundhog Day, one can still not avert death. But, so far so good for the health aspect; and who knows ? My Dad had one in his wallet back in 2008 when he suffered two major heart-attacks back to back~ then survived quadruple bypass & all that intensive rehabilitation~!

  3. Love it! There is something so 1920's illustrative about it - perhaps the coloring or maybe the symmetry of symbols and portents around the noble figure. Anyway, I love it!

  4. "My Dad had one in his wallet back in 2008 when he suffered two major heart-attacks back to back"

That could make a feller go "hmmmm...."

    Ha ha!

  5. Mykal: you picked up on the style~! I was intentionally going for an art-nouveau look.

KW: Tell me about it. It's like any Movie Director will tell you: "If the movie is great, I'll take all the credit, if it's bad, I get all the blame~!"
