Thanx; I was trying to give it a look that would sort-of 3D modernize it to set it apart from Detective #69, but gave up haha. You are right, however; simple is best. Better for printing, cleaner look. I have struggled my whole cartooning existence to keep things from getting muddied up by unnecessary feathery inking or heavy-handed black-spotting & complicated colors. I need to go thru KW Monsters 12-step Photoshop Program (which, due to time constraints is a left-footed 2-step program).
I like the one you went with. I think the simpler flat colors are more durable. Thanks for sharing the progress!
