Sadly, it reminds me of when I spilled an entire giant glass of orange juice all over my living room this a.m. (no joke)...seriously, it conjures up references to ol' Sol (not Brodsky, the other one)...what were your ideas and inspiration for it? Purely expressionistic? Or more literal? Was splatter technique involved or more controlled methods?
Yeah it's been hang'n in me Bro's basement for 30 years. He calls it a Sun too but when I painted it, it was an above view of a massive bonfire and there were to be silhouetted figures dancing around it in Pagan delight. A little splat, mostly controlled effects, built up in super-thick plastic layers.
Why do you say unfinished? It looks complete to me.
