thanx jeff ! some of these are on the backs of old mimeographed worksheets. remember that ammonia smell ? others are on three-subject notebook paper, and some are on file-folders etc. whatever the heck was handy ! I am having great difficulty scanning my cave paintings at the moment...
Thanx KW ! Most of these doodley-doo cartoons are sketches from the unconscious. Just, random spontaneous hand movements with a utensil, word baloons post-facto. But others, like the Dog-Bowl toon, are kernels of thought in a very rough form. Some would be worthy of taking to the next, or, final level of design, complete with color.
This whole series makes me happy to see that not all "college-ruled-notebook-paper" has died in vain.
ReplyDeleteI challenge ANY scholastic body to say it ain't so!!

ReplyDeleteI did that a lot too. Just start making lines on paper and see what happens.
