Here is a rough concept drawing, a Poster
sketch, for my 3rd feature-length screenplay
written back in 2005. The original working
title is seen here~ but~ at the 11th hour I
changed my mind and the title to Voxpop
Voodoo~ a tad catchier and it sounds less
like an Agatha Christie mystery~!
I love the title VoxPop Voodoo! I also find the poster very intriguing! Well, anything that features a flag from the Confederate States always seems risky and interesting to me, particularily when flown behind a one-handed man wearing a shirt with the British flag on the front. Plus, you gotta love the stump (is the term "stump" offensive to the appendage-severed among us? it sounds a little blunt for today's sensibilites, doesn't it?)
ReplyDeleteI like the new title better too. I can pronounce it. Nice drawing! I dig his stump. We don't have many stumped heroes.
ReplyDelete'Lefty' is the anti-hero war-vet, who, through circumstances beyond his control, is thrust into the position of being a Rebel Leader, out to crush all Governmental & Corporate corruption to save the U.S. from flushing further down the shitter. He is liberally minded, but conservative in his lifestyle & use of resources. He is a Brit who migrated to America right before the Anti-Immigration laws went into effect; and served two tours of duty in Iraq. On the Poster, you see him flipping the bird~ aka~ giving the finger~ with his non-existent left hand. This action becomes an anthem of sorts for the Populace's Rebellion...
ReplyDeleteHa HA! clever!
