My former Boss Warren Basher was the real Mastermind behind this creation; he did all the serious 'Thinking' involved to get the gear-ratios correct etc. I was just in charge of aesthetic artistic decisions (what pieces of scrap metal to use, where to put them). Uncle Sam has been serving active duty every year since 2001, for the local Hockessin 4th of July Parade in Delaware. This year, he recieved a much needed paint-job ! But I didn't have the heart to remove the Bird's Nest inside his stove-pipe hat or the foliage lodged in his hair.
