AND~ INTRODUCING~ FORTUNA CARD~ YEAR 2011~!

I have wanted to do a Sports-related
Fortuna Card for a while, along the lines
of a Baseball or Football card. Since I am
originally from the Philadelphia area~
(boooo ! hissss) and therefore by nature
a sad-sack sucker for Philly Teams~
and since Cliff Lee re-signed with
the Phillies in the off-season, giving
them the most deadly Pitching rotation
in the History of the Sport~ I decided,
NOW was the perfect time to honor
the Great American Past-Time with
old-school Lady Luck. It is also the
1st piece of artwork drawn & colored
exclusively on a Wacom Bamboo
Graphics Tablet (that Santa brought
me). So, no trees were injured in the
making of this card...

Until I printed a couple hundred
and laminated them ;~j

Below are all the previous Fortunas,
in descending order, 2010~2000 !

FORTUNA CARD~ YEAR 2005~!

2005 was a memorial year with
no message; just, my Great Aunt
Peg on one side and the Postcard
she gave me on the other...

FORTUNA CARD~ YEAR 2002~!

Talk about coinky-dink. Right
after posting the design for
the 2002 Fortuna Card, the
following image appeared
on NBC's Nightly News
Broadcast so I looked
for it on Google Images
and here it is:

The actual Fortuna Card from 2002
resembles the Debbie Reynolds pin-up
in several ways; but first, a few words:

The back-side of this one reads:

"Would you like to swing
on a Star~ carry Moonbeams
Home in a jar ? Or would you
rather be a Fish ?"
