WELD-JOB, POSTS FOR A 300 POUND DOLPHIN !

When they built the new School Gymnasium, they had to remove a GIANT Live Cedar Tree from the site and, to recycle her spirit, they asked local Carpenter/Artist Len Skinner to carve the School Mascot out of a big chunk...

So, having done weld-jobs for Len on several occasions prior (Horse Gates for the Nature Trail etc.), he subcontracted my services to fabricate support braces out of 5/8 inch thick steel plate mounted atop 3 inch diameter galvanized pipe. It had to be sturdy cuz this Dolphin weighed over 300 pounds and despite signs to "Keep Off", we knew Parents would sit their Toddlers on its back for some funny Photo-Ops !
